SERMIC Annual Conference
Attended the SERMIC annual conference last weekend. The location rotates to include all the member states. This year it was in Nashville, TN; hosted by TAPIT, the Tennessee Association of Professional Interpreters and Translators. We attended a very useful session on language interpreting in speech pathology sessions which is a large part of what we do. The subtle differences in working in such a setting weren’t apparent until pointed out by the presenters. Also, received an update on national certification….
